Luke with the ward Councillors for Devonport

Luke held the first of his latest round of townhall-style events called ‘Meet Luke’. The aim of these events is to visit different wards on one Saturday each month, along with the local ward councillors, to talk about current issues – both nationally, locally, and ward-specific topics that people wanted to raise.

Constituents were asked to sign up online and there were around 25 people on the day who made it to the event.

Luke was joined at Market Hall in Devonport by Councillors Mark Coker, Bill Stevens and Anne Freeman and together they answered as many questions as possible on local issues such as parking and leaseholder concerns and national issues like government investment in Plymouth.

It was fantastic for Luke to have this opportunity to hear more about local issues, and he will be looking to roll this out to different wards across the constituency he represents.

If you would be interested in attending one in your area, please get in touch with Luke at [email protected] so he can ensure you are invited. Luke will also be advertising future Meet Luke event on his social media channels.
