I’m excited to be running my fifth annual Summer School this August, and applications are now open.
If you’re in Years 10–13 and live or study in Plymouth Sutton & Devonport, this is a chance to meet new people, try something different, and explore how you can make a real impact.
🌟 What It’s All About
Plymouth is full of brilliant young people with strong ideas, but not everyone gets the chance to share them.
My two-day Politics Summer School is all about giving you the confidence, skills, and knowledge to speak up and get involved, whether that’s in your school, your community, or even nationally.
You’ll hear from a mix of politicians, youth leaders, campaigners and experts, and take part in fun, interactive activities designed to help you grow your confidence.
💬 What You’ll Experience
Across the two days, you’ll get to:
- Learn how Parliament works and how decisions are made
- Build public speaking and debate skills
- Try speech writing and campaigning techniques
- Hear from local councillors and community campaigners
- Take part in a live debate in a mock parliamentary chamber
- Work in teams, share ideas, and challenge yourself
No experience needed just bring your curiosity and willingness to get involved.
