This week has seen the launch of the hugely anticipated Beryl Cook exhibition at The Box. Beryl Cook – Pride and Joy runs from now all the way through to the 31st May and, what is even better than that, it is totally free!
The exhibition marks 100 years since Beryl was born, and you will see works never before publicly displayed. It is truly extraordinary. Beryl captured the every day life of Plymouth that we know and love, from nights out on the Barbican to days out at shops and more. She loved our city, and we love her work.
Pride and Joy is our city’s chance to say thank you to Beryl for all she gave to us, I really recommend you go along and marvel at the works on view.
It is free, but you can book tickets as it is expected to be busy although there should always be walk up tickets available as well. Well done to all at The Box for such a brilliantly curated exhibition, I can’t wait to go back again.
