Last week I joined Anna Gelderd MP and Fred Thomas MP in writing to the Joint Chairs of Tamar Crossings about the 150% hike in the TamarTag admin fee.
This increase was agreed by the Joint Committee without consultation with local people or stakeholders. That’s not good enough.
I’ve campaigned for cheaper tolls for local people for years because these costs hit local users hardest—and this decision makes things harder still.
We’ve asked the Committee to explain why this increase was approved, when it will come into force, and whether any alternatives were considered. Local people deserve clear answers to these questions.
