Hello Plymouth – Good news. The first of 169 new Armada Way trees have been planted.
A mix of silver limes and hawthorns are being planted by Plymouth City Council to create an avenue of trees on Armada Way as part of their regeneration work.
I strongly opposed the environmental vandalism of the then-Conservative council in chopping down the Armada Way trees in 2023, and I am glad that the Labour council is rolling their sleeves up and re-greening our city centre.
This is a positive step forward in the council’s regeneration work to make our city centre greener, more family friendly, and increase footfall for local businesses.
