I welcome the Policing Minister’s decision to issue a new, more comprehensive public consultation on gun law reform after the tragedy in Keyham.
I warned the previous government against their decision not to consult on all of the Keyham coroner’s recommendations.
With communities in Keyham, we have successfully campaigned for important gun law reforms. But there is still work to do.
The only way to stop another tragedy like we saw in Keyham is to learn the painful lessons of our experiences.
The consultation will be held shortly this year. I will keep you updated.
